The Robe, was nominated for five Academy Awards in 1953, including best picture and best actor. Burton stars as Marcellus Gallio, the Roman centurion charged with overseeing the crucifixion. But when he wins Christ's robe in a gambling game at the foot of the cross, his life is forever changed.

The movie is based on a novel (fiction) yet it is inspiring, in its depiction of Christ's crucifixion and the power of His life and death, and the novel (written by Lloyd C. Douglas) has been read by tens of millions of readers..

Einar and Eric are two Viking half-brothers. The former is a great warrior whilst the other is an ex-slave, but neither knows the true identity of the other. When the throne of Northumbria in Britain becomes free for the taking, the two brothers compete against one another for the prize, but they have very different motives - both involving the princess Morgana, however.

In the Middle Ages, Viking warriors continue to raid the English coast. In one such raid the Viking leader Ragnar kills the English king and forces himself on the Queen. With the King dead, his brother takes the thrown but unknown to anyone but a trusted servant, the Queen is now with child.

In order to protect the boy, he is sent away to be raised in safety away from the new King. Twenty years later, the Vikings under are still raiding England and they now have an Englishman, Egbert, making maps of the English coast for them. Ragnar has a son, Einar, a lusty warrior who takes what he wants when he wants it. They also have a slave, Eric, taken prisoner as an infant. Egbert realizes from a necklace Eric wears that he is the son of the Queen and is Einar's half-brother.

When they kidnap Morgana, a Welsh beauty and the English King's betrothed, the stage is set for an inevitable clash between the half-brothers and with the reigning English King.

Marie Colvin was an American journalist who was killed Wednesday in the besieged Syrian city of Homs, opposition activists and a French official said.

Colvin was from Oyster Bay, New York, and was in her 50's. She was a veteran foreign correspondent for the U.K.'s Sunday Times newspaper.

This video is Colvins last broadcast about the situation in Homs, Syria. It was aired on Tuesday in U.K. She also talks about it's Baba Amr suburb and how snipers is all around.

Colvin is wearring an eye patch because back in 2001 she had lost sight in her left eye doing a report from Sri Lanka. She was hit by shrapnel.

Now overseas in a place where any new trouble really could send oil prices soaring, the u.s. navy is making a statement to iran in a critical oil shipping lane, the strait of hormuz. Jim Miklaszewski is in those waters last night, getting a chance to see life onboard a u.s. carrier, the "U.S.S. Abram Linco Lincoln" where he got a closeup view of some potentially dangerous close encounters.

>> reporter: It was daybreak as the u.s. aircraft carrier abraham lincoln got under way, led by a mdestroyer and a missile cruiser, high-powered protection, the carriers run through the strait of hormuz. as expected, the iranian military came out for a look. an f-27 plane makes a leisurely prass. shortly after, the bridge on the lincoln crackled to life.

>> looks like he's out two miles.

>> reporter: An iranian patrol boat was closing in fast. within two miles of the carrier, iranian boat finally backed off. lincoln's commander, captain john alexander says his biggest worry is that incidents like this could eventually lead to a fatal miscalculation.

>> they have the ability to take a shot at me at some point and that's what I worry about.

>> reporter: It's a legitimate don certain. we've now entered the most dangerous stretch of waters here for the american forces. just beyond that horizon is the largest gathering of heavily armed revolutionary guard fast boats, iranian submarines armed with torpedos and an entire shoreline of anti-ship cruise missiles. the iranians have already threatened to shut down the strait of hormuz and attack u.s. warships. but vice admiral mark fox says the u.s. military is prepared for anything iran throws at them.
